François is 31 years old, lives in Boulogne Billancourt (close to Paris) and is a very happy Papa Poule*!
“I have two amazing daughters, an incredible wife and great friends who I’ve known for the best part of 20 years, and even some since I was born!”
François is a protective and generous dad, strict when it comes to important things like education.
Attentive and present, this Papa Poule gives in easily to the irresistible charm of his daughters. “I do, however, make a point of keeping up mine and my wife’s social life -my children don’t always come first.”
When he was younger he dreamed of being a formula one driver, he hated doing dictations at school but loved grammar!
What is the most important thing you want to instill in your children? “A love of life! The ability to laugh at everything whilst also taking some things seriously.”
What has fatherhood changed in your day to day life? “My sleep! I love sleeping and lying in. Since Ambre was born I think I could count the amount of times I’ve had a lie in on one hand.”
If François were to have a life motto it would be this: “Nec ferro, nec igni cedit : It yields neither to fire nor to the sword. It’s not at all true when it comes to my girls! I give in quickly to their little faces. But it’s true when it comes to everything else!”
As a dililgent Papa Poule; he loves cooking for his girls: “it helps me relax when I get in from work or at the weekend. I’m trying to introduce my older daughter to it by having her next to me whilst I cook and getting her to do a few little jobs like pricking the potatoes or adding the salt and pepper.”
And when he doesn’t eat at home, François eats dinner at Davoli, rue Cler in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. He always goes for the delicious lasagna.
Do you have any plans for the future?
“We’d love to move to Asia for 4 or 5 years and escape from France’s current economic situation.”
Finally, François, if you were a superhero for your little girls who would you be?
“Definitely Superman (I’m a Papa Poule!)”
*‘Papa Poule’ plays with the French expression for ‘Mother Hen’, here it is an endearing name for the protective dad who lovingly fusses over his children!
